Agentive Academy ("Company," "we," "us") operates the Agentive Academy platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Account Management: Create and maintain your account, authenticate access, and manage course access
• Progress Tracking: Record lesson completion, quiz results, and course advancement
• Communication: Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets), course updates, and — with your consent — educational newsletters
• Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve course content, platform features, and user experience
• Support: Respond to your questions and resolve issues

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

Supabase (Authentication & Data Storage)

Supabase provides user authentication (email/password, social login) and stores account data and course progress. Data is hosted on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. See Supabase Privacy Policy.

Access Codes

Access to the Academy is granted through access codes. We do not collect or process any payment information, and no payment processor is used.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We share data with third-party services only as described above and only to the extent necessary to operate the platform.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to:

• Maintain your authentication session
• Store your course progress locally for faster loading
• Remember your preferences (theme, sidebar state)

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use minimal analytics cookies to understand platform usage. You can clear localStorage through your browser settings, though this will require you to log in again.

5. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data is retained for the duration of your account
• Cancelled accounts: Account data is retained for 90 days after cancellation to allow for reactivation, then deleted
• Access records: Access-code redemption records are retained only as long as needed to manage account access
• Progress data: Retained with your account; exported or deleted upon request

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export: Request a portable copy of your data (progress, profile, certificates) in standard format
• Opt Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Encryption at rest for stored data via Supabase
• Secure authentication with hashed passwords and session tokens
• Role-based access controls for administrative functions

No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• Users under 13 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent before creating an account
• Parents or guardians may contact us to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information
• If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete it promptly

Our AI for High Schoolers course is designed for students aged 14-18 and may be used under parental or school supervision.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
